Estado: Rajastan

State: Rajastan

The so called city of the sun, for it's sunny almost all year around,or blue city, because of the colour of the houses surrounding the fort. Like in others cities in Rajastan, there's a fort crowning the hill in the middle of the city. This fort, Mehrangarh, is more like a museum. It was constructed between 1459 and 1678. It's maintained, clean and there's an entrance fee (that we realised when we were already inside). There are no people living inside the fort nor street sellers, unlike Jaisalmer.
My travel friends (Aimee, Pierre and Jérémy) understood my orientation problems when I went to buy shampoo and I came back 3 hours later, just in time for the next bus we would take. A man who saw me passing throught the same square twice or trice took me in his bike until we found the hostel with the few clues I could give (no hostel business card, no mobile phone). He didn't let me buy him any drink or food.
